TravelMaker awarded by the National Association of Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism
Last week, TravelMaker received the “Margareta de Aur” special award for the category of Domestic tourist programs with the Two Castles in One Day tour. The prize was offered by the National Association of Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism, the most important national organization which promotes authentic and traditional travel destinations in Romania.
Through the Two Castles in One Day trip, TravelMaker offered to thousands of foreign tourists the chance to discover the beauty of the Transylvanian villages, besides the most important castles in Romania, Peles and Bran castles. The tourists enjoyed authentic travel experiences in Bran’s rural area and tasted the famous traditional dishes in the local restaurants and guesthouses.
The awards ceremony took place at the Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum in a traditional setting with tourism officials from Romania and abroad. Among the winners, there were representatives who contributed to the preservation and promotion of local traditions, local culinary identity, recreational opportunities, decorating gardens, rural festivals.
We are greatly honored with this award and it means a lot for our activity. This recognition determines us to carry on organizing domestic tours in Romania including in the picturesque rural areas, as they represent the heart and soul of our country. We hope more and more tourists will discover the authentic beauty of Romania not only through the Two Castles in One Day tour but also through the many other tourist programs that we promote abroad.
Special thanks for this award to the Romanian National Association of Rural, Ecological and Cultural Tourism (ANTREC), and most of all to Mrs. Marilena Stoian, a very active and dedicated presence in the Romanian tourism promotion.
