Neighboring Romania, Bulgaria is a beautiful country located in the Balkan Peninsula, with an impressive relief that offers spectacular views, a rich history, and welcoming people.
In recent years, Bulgaria has become highly competitive in Europe through seaside tourism. The climate is similar to that of Greece. The Black Sea is lovely, and many of the resorts and hotels on the Bulgarian coast have been renovated. They are waiting for their tourists with hard to refuse offers.
Almost a third of the Black Sea coast consists of beaches with fine golden sand. You can also visit architectural jewels such as the historical town of Nesebar, a UNESCO site and nicknamed the “Pearl of the Black Sea”.
As the birthplace of Spartacus and Orpheus, Bulgaria had a long, tumultuous, and rich history. For thousands of years, the country was in turn colonized by Greeks, Scythians, Byzantines, and Turks. From an architectural and cultural point of view, all these peoples have influenced the history and becoming of the country. Impressive remnants of past eras are scattered throughout current Bulgarian territory.
