“Two Castles in One Day” – Certificate from Top Hotel Awards

Two Castle in One Day – Full Day Trip to Transylvania from Bucharest

After the 2016 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, TravelMaker received for the shared “Two Castles in One Day Tour”, 2nd prize at Best Innovative Romanian Incoming Tour Program category, within Top Hotel Awards 2016.

“Top Hotel Awards” is one of the most important tourism events in Romania, where hotels, travel agencies, restaurants, and other professionals are awarded for their activity and dedication in the development of the Romanian hotel industry, tourism, and hospitality.

In 2016, the 6th edition of the event reunited, in 29 categories, dozens of Romanian tourism professionals of which 77 participants received the reward for their sustained effort, innovation, and commitment.

The prizes were awarded in an exclusive setting in the presence of public figures, representatives of tourism industry associations, and the Romanian National Authority for Tourism.

TravelMaker was nominated for 2 categories reaching among finalists at: “Best incoming tour operator” and “Best Innovative Romanian Incoming Tour Program” with the shared Two Castles in One Day day trip from Bucharest.

In 2011, we created the first shared tour program in Romania for foreign tourists coming to visit our country.

It is about a full day trip leaving from Bucharest to Transylvania on a very picturesque route through the Carpathian Mountains allowing tourists to discover two of the most beautiful Romanian castles: Peles Royal Castle and Bran, Dracula’s castle as well as a typical Transylvanian city, Brasov.

The excursion became soon very popular among tourists from Bucharest who had the chance to join a small group and spend a full day visiting some of the best attractions of Romania. You can find more info about this tourist program on our web page here.

We couldn’t have received this award without the trust and dedication of the TravelMaker team but most of all without our Partners (hotels, hostels, and travel agencies from Bucharest) who embraced this new concept and gave us all their support in promoting the trip among their guests.

We see this award as official recognition of the continuous effort and desire to innovate and improve the travel experience of foreign tourists interested in visiting Romania. It is also a motivation not to stop creating new products and bringing innovation in the Romanian incoming tourism field.

Congratulations to 4 x 4 Tours who received the 1st Prize at the same category with their “Off-road Adventure Tours in Romania” and to Carpathian Travel Center, Sibiu who received the 3rd Prize with their “Holiday Houses – Stejarisu, the most beautiful village in Transylvania”.
