Bucharest – Sinaia (visit Peles Castle) – Off Road Tour up to the picks – back in Sinaia – return to Bucharest
This full day tour will includes departure from Bucharest, aprox. two hours drive to Sinaia, a beautiful mountain resort, stop in Sinaia to visit Peles Castle, the former summer residence of Carol 1st (Carol Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, a German Prince from the dynasty with the same name, was the first king of Romania). The Castle built between 1875 – 1914 (a total period of 39 years) in a beautiful Neo Renaissance architectural style, one of the most modern constructions from the end of the 19th century was also the first castle in Europe with electric power. After the visit in the castle, the trip will continue with an expedition to the peaks, to admire the real beauty of the mountains and “the world seen from above”. The expedition will take aprox. 4 hours and it will be made using a local mountain guide & a strong 4×4 vehicle.
In case of adverse weather conditions (heavy rain/snow storm) the off-road trip will be replaced by a visit to Bran Castle & Brasov as an alternative.
