Can I book a tour and pay for it directly to the driver on the day?
In general, we recommend to book online on our website. However you can pay cash in euro or in local currency (lei) or by credit card to the driver/guide. In this case, in order to book the tour, you should contact us (telephone or email). For some very busy days, we reserve the right to ask for a deposit.
Are pick-up and/or drop-off at the hotel included in the tour?
As a general rule, the private tours include pick-up/drop-off at your hotel and the shared tours do not include pick-up/drop-off at your hotel. The shared tours start in front of the Athenaeum (the large concert hall located dowtown Bucharest in the Revolution square next to Hilton Athenee Palace hotel). However, you have the option to book the pick-up/drop-off service even for a shared tour for an additional fee of 20 Euro for a standard car (1-3 persons), 30 Euro for a minibus (4-8 persons) and 50 Euro for a big minibus (9-16 persons).
Do you offer your tours in Spanish or other languages?
We can offer private tours in Spanish or other languages upon request, and pending on the availability of a guide who speaks the requested language. At this time we do not offer shared tours in languages other than English.
Do you have any shared tours for destinations outside Bucharest?
Yes, at this moment we operate 5 shared tours going outside Bucharest: Two Castles in One Day (full day), The Real Dracula Tour (full day), Experience Bulgaria (full day), Mogosoaia Palace, Snagov & Caldarusani Monasteries Tour (half day) and Transylvania Break (2 days).
Can my tour be canceled in case of adverse weather conditions? Am I going to receive a refund in this case?
We rarely cancel a tour because of the weather conditions (very heavy snow during the winter). Maybe once every two years. We offer a full refund in this case.
If I book a tour online, will you email us a confirmation or do you send it by (post) mail?
If you book online, you will automatically get an email confirmation. There are no tickets to be mailed to your address. You do not need to show anything to the guide as long as you are on the list for the tour.
What is the difference between a shared and a private tour?
Shared tours are those trips that run on a fixed schedule where you can join a group and the price is usually lower. Private tours do not run on fixed schedule basis, they are organized on request, only for you or your group, you will not share the car or the minibus with other travelers and the price is usually a little higher.
What is the maximum number of people for a shared tour?
We never take more than 16 people on a shared tour because we want to keep the group small and offer a personalized service to all our clients.
How do I know if my tour is booked?
We will confirm all the bookings by email. If you didn’t get your tour confirmation on email please check your spam, bulk or junk folders. If you still don’t have it please call us.
What do you do with my personal information?
We take issues of privacy and security very seriously. We only require the information that is strictly necessary to make your booking. We protect any personal details submitted to us and do not pass these on to any third parties.
How can I cancel my booking?
If you want to cancel your booking please contact us by email or telephone. You will be asked to provide some details from your confirmation email before canceling the service. Please note that canceling your booking will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of the total payment if you do it with more than 3 working days before the departure and 100% of your total payment if you do it with less than 3 days before the departure.
How much will I be charged if I cancel my booking?
Once you have made a booking and received a confirmation from us, you will be charged a cancellation fee of 10% of the total payment you have made. If you cancel your booking with less than 3 working days before the departure, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total amount paid.
I could not make it to the departure point. Can I get a refund?
If you did not present to the tour at the time of departure and you did not inform us beforehand, unfortunately, you are not entitled for a refund. Please, check our Terms & Conditions for more details.
Are the entrance fees (at the museums/castles, etc) included in the tour price?
It depends on the tour. Please carefully check the tour description for this info.
What's a general guideline for tips in your country?
The usual tip in Romania is around 10%, but only if the people offering the service deserve it. No need to tip if you are not very happy with the service.
